A theft at a convenience store Audubon is still free
AUDUBON, Minnesota – Authorities continued to search on Tuesday evening, May 25, a man suspected of robbing a convenience store in the town of Audubon in Becker County.
Shortly before 1 p.m. Tuesday, the Becker County Sheriff’s Office received a theft report at Orton’s Cenex convenience store in Audubon. The suspect entered the store in clothes to conceal his identity and passed a note to a store employee asking for money.

The suspect also told the two clerks who were working at the time that he had a gun; However, no guns were seen during the theft and the two clerks were not injured, according to a press release from the sheriff’s office.
After receiving an undisclosed sum of money and cigarettes, the suspect left the store on foot.
Sheriff’s deputies attempted to use a dog to follow the suspect but were unable to locate him.
The robbery suspect is described as a 6 foot, 200 pound white male.

The Audubon Police Department and the Becker County Sheriff’s Office are investigating the theft.
The sheriff’s office asks anyone with information about the case to call 218-847-2661.
Audubon is approximately 35 miles east of Fargo-Moorhead.
